Get FDA Compliance

About 48 million people in the U.S. (1 in 6) get sick, 128,000 are hospitalized, and 3,000 die each year from foodborne diseases, according to recent data from the CDC. This is a significant public health burden that is largely preventable. - FDA

20 Jan 2026 is the compliance deadline for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Food Traceability Final Rule (FTR).

FDA FSMA FTR is the law mandating all entities involved in the manufacturing, processing, packing, or holding (storing, selling, serving) of foods listed on the FDA's Food Traceability List (FTL) to maintain FDA-accessible detailed records.

The objective is to speed the identification and removal of contaminated foods from the market (and food-chains) thereby reducing outbreak of foodborne illnesses and ultimately serving consumer public health.

FDA FSMA FTR compliance requires significant technical prowess.

4fda.org is a powertool for small, local businesses to become fully compliant with FDA FSMA FTR.
